Tech Heads on a frequent basis deals with peoples personal files and information. This can be in the form of documents, music, emails, photos, videos and even things like website usage, etc.

It is important for us to convey to our clients that this level of access is important for us to be able to provide you with the best level of service we can. In the same regard, the safety of your privacy and information are of the upmost importance to us.

This is a summary of the rules that govern our technicians in accessing your personal information and it's important to note that in booking your computer in with a Tech Heads technician for service you are also granting them non restricted access to any content that exists in your computer.

This agreement is for the safety of your information and privacy; and also our protection in providing the best personal service for you. This agreement is governed by the following rules:

  • Tech Heads technicians are not under any circumstances, to discuss, share, copy or distribute data (or details about data) found in a client's computer, outside of tasks relevant to the job.
  • The only exception to the above rule is in dealing with the Police or any law enforcement agency; whereas we may be required to provide such data by law.
  • Clients have the right to determine areas of a computer that are not to be accessed (or accessed in a way to not determine the nature of the content). We can cater for this, simply ask us on booking your job.
  • Tech Heads will never sell or distribute your personal or business information to any third party.
  • We reserve the right to remove or change any passwords on your computer, in the event it is preventing us from completing the job.
  • Tech Heads may maintain a copy of your data in our secure data storage for tasks where data recovery is relevant. We do this for your own data safety (typically archival backup).

Our archived backup's of systems are typically deleted from our servers after a month of the job's completion.

We keep this backup in the event that if something goes wrong with the job and we need to revert to it, we have that option. This is very rare, although it's a better precaution than not having the option to do so when we need it.
